In order to simplify the creation of your own Skin, we have decided to make the skin "Windows 3.0" available as zip archive.

Windows 3.0

In the zip archive is a "Win30.dcs" folder, which containes all of the files for the skin. Extract that whole folder, not the files, into the same folder as Dana. You can modify the skin from there. All changes in the images and the configuration file become only visible after the skin is loaded again. (Dana restarts, or switch to another skin and back change.)

Note: The name of the folder with the files of the skin must end on ".dcs".

The following configurations can be done in layout.cfg for your skin:

General Structure

bit-map:      Name of the image which is used
left:         Number of pixels for the left display space
center:       Width of the tile for the central display space
right:        Number of pixels for right display space
top:          Number of pixels for the upper display space
middle:       Height of the tile for the central display space
bottom:       Number of pixels for the lower display space
transparency: Transparent color. e.g. # FF00FF for magenta

Color filter

Additionally to the transparency filter also the following filters are supported. They replace the indicated color by the system color selected in the user system.

Color definitions

Below an entry in and specified color.backgroand the text color and the backgroand colour are color.text for this range. Some ranges make possible also a changing of the colors used for the representation of markings - these can be color.highlight then ander and set color.highlighttext.
